Despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, GSC Game World still plans on ending players’ 14-year wait for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sequel. While we’re yet to find out just when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will release in 2023, the recent trailer shows that we could be in for a visually impressive experience when it launches on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl ‘Come to Me’ gameplay trailer

Sporting a borderless open-world, semi-linear storyline, and by the looks of it, impressive visuals, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is looking set to rock our socks off later this year. With beautiful trailers coming from the likes of this, Atomic Heart, and many others, there is potential for our best games on Game Pass list to be shaken up considerably.

Set within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will see us exploring environments filled with overgrown foliage and decaying buildings as we attempt to understand the Earth’s “invisible information field,’ the Noosphere. Scientists have tapped into the strange field, and the resulting effect leads to many disturbing events, including physical anomalies.

We’re extremely excited to begin exploring the game’s world, but we’d love to know your thoughts! Drop a comment below and let us know!
